934 women drive into Guinness World Record list

The Lavasa Women's Drive (LWD) has achieved a new recognition in its sixth edition.This year, 934 women drove 467 cars from the city and Pune to scenic Lavasa and broke a Guinness World Record for most female participants in a motor sport event.

Lavasa Women's Drive has been actively supporting the cause of women's cancer prevention through early detection since 2009. A large part of the money collected through registration is donated to the Women's Cancer Initiative at the Tata Memorial Hospital.
